Camp Promise provides fun, exciting and camper-focused programming each summer. Our full schedule of activities aims to build independence, confidence, and life skills through traditional camp activities and by bringing campers new experiences through adaptation, technology, creativity, and special guests. Check out our various program positions:
Photographer. Being everywhere at once is a challenge, but our photographers use their magic to make that happen. Want to see every side of camp? Join us as a camp photographer and help us document all those smiles and summer moments for our camp family and for all parents who want to know what really happens at camp.
Yearbook Editor. Help us coordinate and design our camp yearbook—before the week is through— so everyone can take a piece of camp home with them!
Arts ‘n Crafts. If you’re ready to find glitter in random places for weeks to come, we want you to join our Arts ‘N Crafts team. Design your own program or use one of our tried and true ones. Working in Arts ‘N Crafts is a great way to get to know all of our campers as you help them discover a hidden talent, make gifts for their dance dates, or throw together a last-minute costume.
Sports. Calling all sport enthusiasts, cheerleaders, referees, and athletes! From power wheelchair soccer and hockey, to obstacle courses, superhero training, and archery, our campers need you to lead the fun. This is also an excellent opportunity for someone who can’t make the entire week of camp but would like to join us as a special guest for a few hours.
Boating & Fishing. Whether it’s saltwater or freshwater, our campers love being outside near the water. Help our campers as they fish, go crabbing, and go canoeing.
Journalism. Coordinate our daily camp newspaper and teach our campers the ins and outs of investigative journalism. From interviewing, writing articles, and meeting deadlines, to content selection, graphic design, and printing, we need an editor who will keep our camp press running all week long.
Computer Science. Delve into coding, apps, video games, websites and more with our campers! Spend the week teaching them what computer science is, providing hands-on practice with our laptops, and showing campers how to make a computer do whatever you want it to do. The sky is the limit and our campers will need technology (and YOU) to get there!
Filmmaking. Our campers are creative and have stories to tell, so help them create a short film to showcase at the end of camp. From brainstorming and storyboarding the plot, to casting, planning, shooting, and finally editing, we're looking for folks to teach our campers the basics of filmmaking.
Music & Drama. Host a drum circle, coordinate meal-time skits, MC the talent show and prep campers for their acts...get involved with all our music and drama activities at camp!
Other. We are always open to new positions, so if you have any special skills you want to lend to camp, please let us know!
