step 1: online application
All applicants, including returning volunteers, must complete an online application. As part of this online application, you will be asked to upload the following:
- Current photo
- Signed Waivers
- Government-issued photo ID
- Copy of your insurance card(s) (front & back)

Step 2: medical documents
These forms are required from all new volunteers and they are good for two years. If you are a returning applicant who submitted these forms last year, your forms from last year will be automatically uploaded to your online application.
- Medical Form signed by the volunteer's doctor
- Copy of volunteer's immunization records
- Additional medical directives (optional)

step 3: interview with camp director
All applicants, including returning volunteers must complete an interview each year. Applicants who have completed their application by the posted deadline will receive an invitation via email to schedule an interview with our camp director. Interviews are conducted via Google Hangout video chat.
STEP 4: offer packet
Applicants will be notified via email whether they have been accepted, waitlisted, or declined. A new form (titled Offer Packet) will be added to accepted applicant's online application and will contain additional information about volunteering at Camp Promise. Final hiring is contingent upon successful completion of background and reference checks. Accepted applicants will have 7 days from receiving notification of their acceptance to complete the following:
- Print, sign, and upload your Background Check Authorization Form
- Complete your Camp Promise Participation Agreement online
STEP 5: WELCOME PACKET
All accepted volunteer will be notified via email and will receive the following to help them prepare for camp:
- Staff handbook
- List of theme days
- Directions to camp
- Suggested packing list
